Terelj National Park

Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, Mongolia’s third-largest protected area, is a breathtaking alpine landscape just 55 km (34 miles) from Ulaanbaatar, making it the country’s most accessible national park. Established in 1993, it borders the Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area, a UNESCO-recognized wilderness zone.
