Amarbayasgalant Monastery

Amarbayasgalant Monastery is one of Mongolia’s most significant and best-preserved Buddhist monasteries, second only to Erdene Zuu Monastery in Kharkhorin. Built between 1727 and 1737 under the orders of Manchu Emperor Yongzheng, this architectural marvel was dedicated to Zanabazar, Mongolia’s legendary Buddhist leader, scholar, and sculptor.
