Then we celebrated our new year with many successes. We have to give big hands to some people who got award after all of their hard work. One of them is Mr. Batbold who is founder of Selena Travel Group and consultant of Selena Travel Group was bestowed with "Altan Gadas" medal which means "Pole Star" by President of Mongolia. This is the real proud of us because people who worked over 35 years for government and did very important thing for Mongolia are bestowed by the "Altan Gadas" (meaning North Star).

The 60 or so people from various countries who were there at Aygiin Am in Bayandelger soum, Tuv aimag for the annualNomads' Day Festival on September 17 and 18, would wholeheartedly agree. The organizer of the two- day event was Selena Travel Company and this was the third year that it was being held. The first day saw several non-competitive events where nomadic people presented their traditional culture and music.

It’s the beginning of the end of Mongolia’s short summer season. Today is a big day for our young monk. Let’s call him Davaa, a good Tibetan name. His name means Monday, and his parents may have chosen his name because he was born on a Monday. The name also honors Tibetan Buddhism, which is practiced in Mongolia. He has only been at the monastery for a year, and he’s going to participate in his first Tsam ceremony. The tsam dances, are morality plays. Their purpose is to remove evil from the area and pass along traditional stories and morals. There can be hundreds of participants, usually monks. Davaa is lucky to participate because he’s still a young monk.
