| ABOUT YTP:
YTP national competition is held among 3rd grade students
majoring in English translation or Tourism management
in national in national or private universities of Mongolia.
YTP is organized annually from 2008 and the biggest
tourism competition on Tourism in Mongolia.
VISION:
To support students who study harder for being top managers
and support human resources in Mongolian tourism industry,
to develop competition between the university's and
lesson quality and to improve the skills of students.
SIGNIFICANCE:
Those students, who succeed in the competition will
be contacted by the biggest tourism & hospitality
companies such as Ramada, Puma Imperial hotels, Aero
Mongolia, Mongolian Airlines air companies, Gobi Tour,
Gobi Mirage, Gobi Discovery, Steppe Nomads tourist camps
etc as the companies are eager to offer work positions
before the students' graduation and the successful participants
will be documented in the information data base of Tourism
Development Foundation.
PARTICIPANTS:
Participants in this competition are 3rd year student
of national and private universities, majoring in tourism
management with good English skills or English translation
with extensive tourism knowledge.
PROCEDURE:
YTP is organized with 2 stages on March 3 – 17, 2012.
ESSAY: The participants will submit
their applications and essays to info@responsibletourism.mn
The topic of the essay is "RESPONSIBLE
TOURISM IN MONGOLIA", the essay
is written in Mongolian.
Deadline for sumbission: 01 March 2012.
STAGE 1: The first 60 participants
from the ESSAY stage will take part in this stage. Competition
will be held on 3 March 2012 at the lecture hall of
the University of Humanities.
Tasks:
1. English language skills test
2. Questions & answers regarding tourism in Mongolian.
STAGE 2: The first 20 participants,
who got the highest scores in STAGE 1 will participate.
Competition is held on 17 March 2012 at Puma Imperial
Hotel.
Tasks:
1. EQ test
2. Case studies in English
3. Presentation on given topics
