an unique and inter characteristic geographical
environment by entering deep to the south along
the Siberian forest, taiga and mountains from
the northern part of Mongolia, and from the
south to the north through arid desert-steppe
and valleys of Central Asia. The rivers have
about 45 species of fish in them, including
the Taimen, Pike, Perch, Trout, Gudgeon, Minnows,
Sculpin, Whitefish, Dace, Stone loach, Sawbelly
and so on.
Hucho Taimen - At one time,
the world’s largest salmonid, the Taimen,
lived in the rivers between Germany and the
Pacific coast of Russia. Today, after centuries
of poaching, pollution, and habitat destruction,
the Taimen are making their last stand in Mongolia.
Reaching weights of 200 pounds, the Taimen are
one of the world’s premier freshwater
sportsfishes.

waters and this trip gives you a wonderful opportunity
to encounter this mighty salmonid with much
ease and without driving for hours and taking
flights to the north.
