Day 1
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, meet your tour guide & transfer to hotel, rest. Visit the Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of National History & the Sukhbaatar Square. Dinner, hotel overnight. L

Day 2-4
This morning we drive to the north toward Lake Huvsgul, break our journey in magnificent Amarbayasgalant monastery, picturesque Uran Togoo mountain Bulgan province in the northern Mongolia. On Day 4 we continue the drive through the forest mountains of northern Mongolia to Moren, a small town in the north. B+L+D

Day 5-7
A 4 hour drive north takes us to the shores of Lake Huvsgul, called “Mother Ocean” by the locals. In the morning we drive to the beautiful Lake Huvsgul. Day 6 is spent in leisurely activities and sightseeing on Lake Huvsgul and its surroundings - there are a number of ways to spend the day, including boat journeys, gentle walking, and a visit to the Tsaatan nomads - the 'Reindeer People'. We then drive to the beaitiful pristine lakes in northern Mongolia, visit Sangiin Dalai lake on Day 7. B+L+D

Day 8-10
We visit the unique formations of Khar Lake and the sand dunes and then visit Telmen Lake as well. Zavkhan province is famous for stunning nature formations and untouched wilderness. We visit Khalkha and Sartuul nomads and see their lifestyle. B+L+D

Day 11-13
We visit lovely Tosontsengel village and drive the Solongotiin Pass, spend the night by the river Ider. Our next stop in Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan, surrounded by volcanoes and home to many species of wild bird. We hike to the Khorgo Volcano and the beautiful Lake Terkh and the Ice Hole, Hell of the Yellow Dog etc interesting sites hidden in the national park. We visit Taikhar Rock by the river Tamir. B+L+D

Day 14-16
We make your way through the alpine meadows and first steppe plains on the road to Karakorum, we visit the lost capital of Genghis Khan at Karakorum. We then visit the magnificent Erdene Zuu Monastery, where we will see a distinct mixing of the styles of Chinese and Tibetan Buddhism. Enjoy some hiking in Khogno Khan maountain and visit the hidden temple ruins of Ovgon monastery. We then proceed to Hustai, view the gorgeous Takhi wild horses. B+L+D

Day 17-18
We drive to the amazing Gun-Galuut via Ulaanbaatar for some 3 hours. Arrive in the reserve and transfer to Steppe Nomads tourist camp. Enjoy the wilderness and the view of the steppes. Hiking along the river Kherlen and optional kayaking on the river. Day 18 is a leisure day. We drive or hike or ride horses to Mt.Baits to view the rare gorgeous Argali Wild mountain sheep. On the way we will see the endangered beautiful White Napped Crane and the Black Stork. Visit a nomadic family and see their lifestyle. B+L+D

This morning we drive back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Visit Bogd Khaan’s Palace Museum – the residence of Mongolia’s last king, and see a traditional folklore concert. Shopping. B+L+D

Lake Huvsgul, the second largest freshwater lake in the world after Lake Baikal in Buryatia, is popular for its pure water, awesome Alpine-like landscapes, wonderful wildlife and the different ethnic people living around it. Lake Huvsgul region is a destination in itself and an entire tour could be devoted to this specific part of Mongolia.

Lakes Khar, Telmen and Sangiin Dalai are in picturesque Zavkhan province and one of the highlights of northern Mongolia. The lakes are pristine and the scenery is unique and pictorial. Lake Khar is socalled the Pearl of Khangai mountains, and is famous for laying on sand dunes. The area is homse for many different rare spceis of wildlife and plants. The hostipable nomads always welcome you to their homey gers with milk tea and dried curds.


Khorgo-Terkh National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in Mongolia with its crystal clear Terkh Lake and the Khorgo Volcano. The nature beauty is awesome here and is a great place for hiking, horse riding and relaxing. You can visit the Hell of Yellow Dog, Ice Hole and the Youth Cave that are pretty impressive!

The city of Karakorum: In 1220 great Chinghis Khaan declared it as the capital city of his vast Empire. Today there are many interesting sites left to visit; the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas and the ruins of this once great city to name a few.

Erdenezuu was the first Buddhist monastery in the Mongolian Empire. It was established in 1586. The monastery has a massive square wall, 420 meters in length each side, a total of 108 Stupas and 17 temples. Today Erdenezuu monastery still shows its glory with collections of many priceless religious objects and incredibly beautiful Mongolian arts.

Hustai National Park is the place where the wild Takhi- Przewalski horses have lived peacefully since 1993 when they were reintroduced to their native land Mongolia. Here we can view and photograph these beautiful wild horses at pasture and Red Deer, Wolf, Asian Marmot, various species of waterfawls & prey birds.

Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve
a breathtaking place full of globally endangered wildlife including Wild Mountain sheep Argali, White Naped Cranes, Hooded Cranes, Siberian White Cranes, Whooper Swans and more bird species like Black Storks, Swan Geese and many more. The little oasis in the steppes, Gun-Galuut is a place for nature lovers and soft adventurers!
