Horse treks from Karakorum to Tuvkhun monastery via Shankh monastery. Continue the horse riding in the lush green valley of the legendary river Orkhon - a UNESCO world heritage site. Toward Ulaanbaatar. We start heading back to Ulaanbaatar after our amazing horse treks in the Orkhon River Valley & Central Mongolia. We will visit the Mongol Els sand dunes and Hustai National Park, where we will view the world's last wild horse species the Takhi.

Ulaanbaatar sightseeing etc. We will make our way from Hustai to Ulaanbaatar today, visit the Bogd Khan's Palace Museum and Buddha Park. Enjoy a traditional folk concert and farewell dinner. Hotel.

The city of Karakorum: In 1220 great Chinggis Khaan declared it as the capital city of his vast Empire. Today there are many interesting sites left to visit; the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas and the ruins of this once great city to name a few. Erdenezuu - the 1st Buddhist monastery in Mongolia was established in 1586. Today Erdenezuu monastery still shows its glory with collections of many priceless religious objects and incredibly beautiful Mongolian arts. It has a massive square wall, 420 meters in length each side, 108 Stupas & 17 temples.

Khangai Mountains introduction
The Khangai Mountain Range is Mongolia's watershed, the source of the mighty Selenge River that flows northwards into Lake Baikal. Its picturesque alpine scenery rises swiftly from the surrounding pastureland, with the highest peak, Otgontenger (13,000 feet), under perpetual snow and glacial ice. The range is reputed to hold a wealth of undiscovered gems and minerals - let's hope that they, and the landscape, remain undisturbed by the western world.

Hustai National Park is the place where the wild Takhi- Przewalski horses have lived peacefully since 1993 when they were reintroduced to their native land Mongolia. Here we are able to see and photograph these beautiful wild horses at pasture and Red Deer, Wolf, Asian Marmot, various species of waterfawls and prey birds etc., as well.
