Is it safe to travel to Mongolia alone?

Are you wondering whether it is safe to travel alone in Mongolia or not? Many of tourists ask this question from others on online community before they travel their first visit of counties including Mongolia.  Here is an example: “I’m 20 years old female and never tried traveling on my own, and would like to be independent. Am planning to visit Mongolia on my own for a month, but is it safe?…
We would like to say that Mongolia is one of the lowest crime-ridden countries to visit. With one of the lowest crime rates in Asia, you won't have to worry too much about getting into trouble while visiting, so long as you play it safe and use common sense.
However, no one can predict the future, anything can happen when you’re travelling just by your own. Travelling with travel agency or tour operator will be definitely safe in Mongolia.
We have good news that Mongolia is included in the TOP 10 safest country in the Asia for female travelers. According to the Skift Travel, the safety of female travelers became a mainstream issue earlier this year amidst rape concerns in India, the disappearance of a solo female tourist in Istanbul, and the rescue of two kidnapped women travelers in Ecuador.
Singapore tops the list with a very low crime rate, 0.1 percent rate of assault, and 1.1 percent rate of reported theft.  India does not make the top ten and served as the primary flashpoint for concerns surrounding female safety earlier this year.

Mongolia is in the 8th place of the list before Kazakhstan and Vietnam. Photo source: http://skift.com
