Our managing director Ms. Nyamsuren G. and sales manager Ms. Zolzaya O. successfully presented the company and the country at the 29th PATA Travel Mart 2006 at Asia World-Expo center in Hong Kong on 12-15 Sep. PATA Travel Mart is the premier travel mart in the Asia Pacific region and Selena Travel was the first Mongolian company to ever take part in it. PATA President and CEO Mr. Peter de Jong confirmed the official delegate numbers for PTM06.

THIS was something different for tourists. The 60 or so people from various countries who were there at Aygiin Am in Bayandelger soum, Tuv aimag for the annualNomads' Day Festival on September 17 and 18, would wholeheartedly agree. The organizer of the two- day event was Selena Travel Company and this was the third year that it was being held. The first day saw several non-competitive events where nomadic people presented their traditional culture and music.

As you have probably heard in almost every trailer video about Mongolia- throat singing is a favorite art of Mongolians. For people who think that singing can only produce one note at a time, hearing a throat-singing would be a pleasant surprise. With the help of unique technique that have been handed down from as early as human evolution, throat singers can produce two or more notes at the same time, creating a perfectly harmonious sound. Even though throat singing can be heard in Canada and in Native American culture, the most infamous center for the throat singing is undoubtedly Central Asia, especially Mongolia.
